DescriptionG.A.R. (Grand Army of the Republic) felt slouch hat c. 1915 with wide ribbed ribbon and added twisted gold/black cords. Black cloth oval on buckram with metal 169 pinned on front and thin brown band to keep to hat. Brown leather interier band size 7 1/4 with embossed "THE GUY HAT/PHILADELPHIA/KING " and "NORWOOD CLO.CO/NORWOOD, MASS" (embossed with gold lettering) Small green bow stitched to back, one side has come undone.
